Problems solved by technology

Therefore, as the analyte flux rate changes, the analyte level determined in the assay does not accurately represent the actual analyte level
Additionally, existing transdermal sensors only measure a single analyte

Abstract

A transdermal test sensor assembly adapted to assist in determining at least one analyte concentration of a fluid sample is provided. The test sensor assembly comprises a sensor support, a first test sensor, a second test sensor, a first hydrogel composition, and a second hydrogel composition. The first test sensor couples to the sensor support. The second test sensor couples to the sensor support. The first hydrogel composition is positioned on the first test sensor. The second hydrogel composition is positioned on the second test sensor.

Description

field of invention [0001] The present invention generally relates to transdermal test sensor assemblies. More specifically, the present invention relates to dual transdermal test sensor assemblies adapted to facilitate the determination of the concentration of at least one analyte, wherein the test sensor assembly has at least two transdermal sensors. Background of the invention [0002] Quantitative determination of analytes in body fluids plays an important role in the diagnosis and maintenance of certain physiological abnormalities. For example, lactate, cholesterol, and bilirubin should be monitored in certain individuals. In particular, measuring glucose in body fluids is important for diabetic individuals who must frequently check glucose levels in body fluids to regulate dietary glucose intake. The results of this test can be used to decide what insulin (if any) or other drugs need to be given. In one type of testing system, a testing sensor is used to test a fluid...
