Abstract

The invention discloses a method for making a surgical laser guide plate for tooth planting by a computer, which comprises the steps that during the course that the surgical guide plate is planted by the computer, tooth models of a patient are treated by a laser scanner into digitalized image information. Meanwhile, a three-dimensional reconstruction algorithm is adopted to generate a three-dimensional model according to CT data of the tooth section of the patient so that virtual jaw bones and a mucous-membrane model are restored. In addition, laser data is taken as a standard on the newly synthetized three-dimensional model to carry out the design and making of the surgical guide plate planted by computer. The method can scan the outline of a tooth in more accurately. Compared with surgical guide plates which are planted by computers and made simply by CT data, the surgical guide plate made by the method is easier to be positioned accurately.
