The method comprises the following steps: a color characteristic space of an appointed frame image in an image to be tracked is constructed; the specific color characteristic is selected; according to the specific color characteristic, the specific color combination characteristic is selected; according to the color combination characteristic, a trust image of each other frame image in the image to be tracked is constructed; the trust image is optimized; and the position of a target to be tracked is searched in the optimized trust image.
