Abstract

The invention relates to an inverter circuit which comprises a signal generating circuit and a waveform changing circuit, wherein the signal generating circuit comprises a first transducer, a switching transistor and a second transducer. When the switching transistor is closed, the first transducer is electrically connected with the second transducer and the second transducer outputs a direct voltage, when the switching transistor is opened, the first transducer is electrically disconnected with the second transducer and the second transducer outputs a reverse voltage because of self inductionof a coil. The waveform changing circuit changes the direct voltage and the reverse voltage into simple alternating current voltage. The inverter circuit has little power consumption. The invention also provides a liquid crystal display device with the inverter circuit.
