The method comprises the following steps of: confirming that the call of a user is connected by an IMS gateway functional entity; and after confirming that the call of a user is connected, informing an online-charging system to start the charge control of the user by the IMS gateway functional entity. The technical proposal of the method improves an IMS online-charging process, increases the handling of session establishment confirmation conditions, overcomes the drawbacks of the prior IMS online-charging processand avoids mischarging the user when the call is not connected.
