Background technique [0001] Forming the object of the present invention are endoluminal prostheses or stents for use in passages or tubes of a living body, primarily the human body. Such endoluminal prostheses can be used, for example, to restore passages in blood vessels that have been reduced or blocked by pathological phenomena such as stenosis. Such endoluminal prostheses can also be used in bile ducts or other similar organs.
