Abstract

The invention provides an intermittent hypoxia device for experimental animals, which comprises an oxygen gas source connected with an experimental chamber through an air-intake conduit. A computer controls an electromagnetic valve so that the oxygen gas source supplies oxygen to the experimental chamber intermittently. The bottom of the experimental chamber is provided with an exhaust conduit which is controlled by the electromagnetic valve and is used for exhausting experimental gases. The intermittent hypoxia device for the experimental animals has the advantage of being suitable for various respiratory hypoxia experiments. The computer controls the electromagnetic valve so that the oxygen gas source supplies oxygen to the experimental chamber intermittently, therefore the experimentaldata is accurate.
