A method for marking dimension of dynamically previewable graphics comprises the following steps: selecting a starting point of a first extension line; updating position of a dragging line based on current coordinate changes of the cursor when the cursor is dragged; selecting a starting point of a second extension line; updating position of a marking line based on current coordinate changes of thecursor and marking dimension on the updated marking line based on preset marking text attributes when the cursor is dragged; and determining a marking point based on final position of the cursor so as to determine the marking line at the final position. The invention further provides a system for marking dimension of the dynamically previewable graphics. The system and the method can help automatically compute the position of the marking line and set up the marking text attributes based on changes of cursor position.
