Abstract

The invention relates to an intralunimal catheter. It relates to a packaged intraluminal catheter comprising a tube (12) having a hydrophilic coating and having a proximal end connected to a tip (14)having a channel communicating with the tube (12) and an opening (18), the catheter being entirely contained in a smooth, transparent and waterproof packaging. The catheter contains a moveable cap (20) closing the opening (18), the packaging being sealingly fixed to the tip (14) so that it defines two sealed chambers (24, 26) which communicates only through the lumen of the tube (12) and the tip (14) channel, a first chamber (24) contains a wetting fluid for the tube (12) coating, and a second chamber (26) does not contain a wetting fluid. The invention can be used in urinary catheters.
