In the third party positioning, a positioning request is initiated by the universal positioning management platform, and the positioning calculation process is implemented on the mobile phone. The mobile phone position information is transmitted to the universal positioning management platform through a CDMA network data channel or a short-term channel after being acquired. Compared with the traditional GPSOne third party implementation method, the implementation method provided by the invention greatly improves the positioning speed and positioning success rate.
