Abstract

The invention discloses a method for realizing a mapping relation between an identity and a position in the technical field of computer networks. The method comprises the following steps of: dividing a network into management domains; configuring at least one mapping server connected with other management domains in each management domain, wherein the mapping server stores home domain information; when the home domain information of the mapping server changes, sending an update message to a peer-to-peer mapping server of the mapping server; updating the home domain information of the peer-to-peer mapping server according to the update message by the peer-to-peer mapping server; and forwarding the update message to the peer-to-peer mapping server of the peer-to-peer mapping server until all mapping servers receive the update message and update the home domain information stored in the mapping servers.
