The total purple sweet potato haematochrome is separated into 11 high-purity main components or monomers by reverse phase silica gel step-by-step chromatographic separation, elution and concentration for drying. HPLC (High Performance Liquid Chromatography) analysis is carried outon the 11 components, the component purity is calculated, and the oxidization resistant activity of the components is tested by utilizing an in-vitro oxidization resistant test. The component purity is analyzed according to an HPLC method, the purity of a main compound in the components is 40-99.9 percent, and the in-vitro oxidization resistant activity capability test is evaluated by utilizing four systems of total reducing capacity, DPPH free radical inhibition, hydroxyl free radical inhibition and linoleic acid lipid peroxidation inhibiting capability. The purple sweet potato haematochromeeffective component provided by the invention can be applied to preparing oxidization resistant medicines and health-care products and be used as a natural food additive.
