Abstract

The invention discloses a typesetting method and a device thereof. A plurality of rectangular original blocks need to be output in a no overlap and no inclination mode on a material sheet with fixed width and variable length, and to be cut off in a through cutting mode. The method comprises the following steps: block set preparation: preparing a first block set comprising the original blocks; free combination: carrying out repeated horizontal and vertical combination on the blocks in the first block set to generate new blocks, wherein the new blocks which can be further combined horizontally are added into the first block set for repeated combination in the free combination step, and the new blocks which can not be further combined horizontally are added into a second block set and are nolonger be combined in the free combination step; vertical combination: carrying out repeated vertical combination on blocks in a third block set, which is obtained by combining the first and second block sets, to generate new blocks, wherein the new blocks are added into the third block set and used for repeated combination in the vertical combination step; and partial solution acquisition: acquiring the blocks, which satisfy the conditions of a first part solution, from the third block set to serve as partial solutions.
