When the method in the invention is adopted, the on-spot maintenance cost of the LXI instrument can be reduced considerably and the maintenance time of the instrument is shortened. The invention also correspondingly provides a device for updating the firmware of the LXI instrument, which comprises a firmware uploading module, a firmware receiving module, a firmware replacing module and an abnormal condition processing module.
