Abstract

When an unrecoverable CPU error such as a misalignment has occurred in a reproduction device (100) for reproducing a content recorded on a recording medium (101), it is possible to prevent occurrence of the same failure causing an unrecoverable state. A nonvolatile memory stores failure information by a processing routine started upon an unrecoverable CPU error such as a misalignment. The stored failure information is used to branch a reproduction control process before reaching the same process, thereby preventing occurrence of the same failure state.
