Abstract

The invention provides a watchdog circuit in an on-board unit and the on-board unit. The watchdog circuit is positioned outside a microprocessor and comprises a timing circuit and a reset circuit. The reset circuit comprises a second resistance-capacitance charge and discharge circuit and a reset output end, wherein the second resistance-capacitance charge and discharge circuit is connected with the timing circuit and the power supply; and the reset output end is connected with a reset pin of the microprocessor. When the start enabling terminal has a low level, the first resistance-capacitance charge and discharge circuit generates a timing time; when the timing time is up, if the microprocessor is not abnormal, the start enabling terminal is set to have a high level; otherwise, if the microprocessor is abnormal, the second resistance-capacitance charge and discharge circuit generates a low-level reset signal.
