Abstract

The invention discloses an insecticide composition for preventing and controlling termites. The insecticide composition for preventing and controlling the termites is characterized by containing two active ingredients imidacloprid and bifenthrin, wherein the ratio of the imidacloprid to the bifenthrin is 58:2 to 54:6 based on the weight parts of the active ingredients; and the composition contains 10 to 80 weight percent of active ingredients imidacloprid and bifenthrin. The invention also discloses the application of the insecticide composition for preventing and controlling the termites, and a preparation method for solid granules. The termite rapid-killing effect of the imidacloprid, and the characteristics of long efficacy duration, safety and the like of the bifenthrin are utilized, and the compounding ratio is regulated so as to achieve remarkable synergistic effects and co-toxicity coefficient of 194.3; and the two active ingredients act on the termites in complementary ways so as to retard the resistance of the termites to the imidacloprid, prolong the termite prevention and control time and better the prevention and control effects.
