A mixture for killing pests, comprising, as the active compound, A) an ethyl sulfone compound having formula (I) and B) At least one additional compound B, selected from fipronil, λ-cyhalothrin, bifenthrin, heptafluthrin, α-cyhalothrin, thiamethoxam, thiamethoxam, acetamiprid, imidacloprid, dinotefuran, trifluralin, dithiamethoxam, spinosad, ethyl spinosad, abamectin, bispyribac-methyl, indoxacarb; cyfluthrin, methoxypiperazine ethyl ester, dispirenil, chlorantraniliprole, brofenoxuronamide, tetrazolium acetonitrile, cyclobromhizobium acetonitrile, brofenoxuron dimethoate; pyrimethanil, M.UN.1: 1-[6-(2,2-difluoro-7-methyl-[1,3]m-dioxacyclopenten[4,5-f]benzimidazol-6-yl)-5-ethylsulfonyl-3-pyridyl]cyclopropaneformonium, M.UN.2: 6-(5-cyclopropyl-3-ethylsulfonyl- 2-pyridyl)-2,2-difluoro-7-methyl-[1,3]m-dioxacyclopenten[4,5-f]benzimidazole; and difenoconazole, prothioconazole, fenbendazole, tebuconazole, chlorfluazuron, cymoxanil, fluopyram, tetrazoxystrobin, azoxystrobin, oxadiazon, azoxystrobin, fluopyram, fluopyram, fluopyram, fluopyram, fluopyram, isopropoxystrobin, trifluoropyridamole, fluthiazolinone, flusaprolin, metalaxyl, tetrazoxystrobin, fludioxonil, thiophanate-methyl; these mixtures are used to combat invertebrate pests such as insects, arachnoides or nematodes inside and on the surface of plants, and for the protection of such plants, especially for the protection of plant propagation material such as seeds from pest infestation.
