This invention discloses a method for cultivating long-
branch Buddha's Hand fruit by
cutting branches. The method uses a special variety called "Sunshine" and cultivates high-quality long-
branch Buddha's Hand fruit by controlling the density of fruiting branches, spraying a 1500-fold
dilution of 3% naphthaleneacetic acid during the
bud stage to induce finger-shaped splitting, spraying a
gibberellin-
chlorpyrifos-
potassium dihydrogen
phosphate compound solution during
fruit development to synergistically thicken the fruit stalk, adjusting the
branch direction in summer to keep the fingertips pointing upwards, and combining this with midday shading. This method results in a 26.7% increase in fruit stalk
diameter, a 6.4% increase in the number of fruits with open fingers, a 100.2% increase in the number of long-branch fruits, a 20.0% reduction in the number of fruits with fruit surface burns, and an 8.8% reduction in the number of fruits that fall off after harvest. The number of fresh-
cut long-branch marketable fruits increases by 100.2%, and the long-branch marketable fruit rate reaches over 70%. Overcoming the bottlenecks of traditional cultivation such as weak fruiting ability of long branches, thin and weak fruit stalks that are easy to fall off, and easy damage to the fruit surface, the cultivated long-branch Buddha's Hand fruit has the advantages of being resistant to fruit drop, having a smooth fruit surface, having a well-developed fruit shape, and having suitable branches. It can be directly used for
cut flower scenarios such as
vase decoration and bouquet matching, creating a new category of Buddha's Hand
cut fruit and significantly enhancing its ornamental and economic value.
