Abstract

The invention discloses a system management bus (SMBUS)-based keyboard video mouse (KVM) switch with local and remote functions, which belongs to the field of computers. The switch consists of a remote KVM switch management part and a local KVM switch management part, wherein the remote KVM switch management part performs the switch management on each signal of the KVM by a remote management central processing unit (CPU) through an SMBUS and or input/output signals extended from the SMBUS, and packages data and transmits the packaged data to a remote management machine through an Ethernet; and the local KVM switch part performs the switch management on each signal of the KVM by a switch management microcontroller unit (MCU) through the SMBUS and/or the input/output signals extended from the SMBUS, and provides output interfaces of a local video graphics array (VGA) interface, a universal series bus (USB) interface, a play station 2 (PS2) interface and a component object model (COM) interface. The switch has powerful functions of simultaneous local and remote switch and simultaneous show-on screen (OSD) display, supports other management functions of the SMBUS, and has rich output interfaces.

Description

A KVM switcher with local and remote functions based on SMBUS technical field The invention relates to the field of computer technology, in particular to a SMBUS-based KVM switch with local and remote functions. Background technique At present, the KVM switches used in the computer field can only realize single switching of local KVM or remote KVM, and the realization method is based on pure analog or non-bus digital switching. The system does not use a unified management switching bus, and the KVM input interface is relatively complicated. This brings several disadvantages such as: a single function can only realize simple switching, and cannot realize complex management and hardware monitoring functions; local functions and remote functions cannot be integrated organically; local and remote functions cannot support simultaneous operations; Automatic identification of different displays for each port; problems such as lack of simultaneous display function of local and rem...
