Abstract

The invention discloses scheduling for performing quick response during inquiry pattern matching of a stream event. A system is provided and comprises an inquiry pattern handler, an event scheduler, a runtime pattern scheduler, and a pattern matching estimator, wherein the inquiry pattern handler is configured to determine at least one inquiry pattern to be matched with an event stream, and determine to represent a plurality of runtime patterns of an active instance of at least one inquiry mode which can be used for matching currently, and each runtime pattern comprises a plurality of states; the event scheduler is configured to be an event of received event streams, which is associated with the current event set of the event streams; the runtime pattern scheduler is configured to determine a sorted set of the runtime pattern on the basis of priority metric; the priority metric characterizes the advancing of every runtime pattern from the current state during matching of the current event set for every runtime pattern; and the pattern matching estimator is configured to successively estimate every runtime pattern of the sorted set aiming at the current event set.
