The rotation of the cutting edge 6 defines a cutting surface 7 , which is oriented perpendicular to the longitudinal axis 8 of the food strip 2 . The longitudinal axis 8 extends parallel to the feed direction indicated by the arrow 9 , along which the food strips 2 are fed to the blades of the cutting device 3 by means of a feed device 10 which is only schematically indicated. The feeding device 10 has at its upper end a gripper 11 which can be advanced in the feeding direction (arrow 9 ), whose gripping hook 12 is inserted into the rear end of the food strip 2 facing away from the blade 5 and...

Abstract

The method involves inserting the length of food (2) in a cutting device (3) having a rotating knife (5). The cut slices are deposited for forming a portion on the intermediate storage area (15). Multiple slices are delivered to a conveying unit (14), with which the slices are discharged. A shingled slice arrangement is produced from the cut slices in the intermediate storage area. An independent claim is also included for a device for cutting a length of food into slices.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a method for cutting a food bar into slices, comprising the following process steps: [0002] a) food strips are conveyed on a cutting device with a rotating blade; [0003] b) Gradually slice at the front end in the direction of feed by means of the food strip cutting device during feed: [0004] c) for forming a portion, the slices are deposited after separation from the food strip on at least one intermediate store movable transversely to and in the direction of feed, resulting in a stack or tiling of slices; [0005] d) A plurality of slices are collectively transferred from the at least one intermediate store to the conveyor device. [0006] Furthermore, the invention relates to an apparatus for slicing food strips, comprising [0007] a) a cutting device with rotating blades, [0008] b) the feeding device, by means of which the strips of food can be fed to the cutting device, [0009] c) at least one intermediate stor...
