Embodiment Construction

[0034] figure 1 A schematic diagram of a wireless communication system according to an embodiment of the present invention is shown. Specifically, the wireless communication system 10 can be a multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) system, and it includes at least one transmitter 200 and one receiver 100 . The receiver 100 is wirelessly connected to the transmitter 200 to obtain wireless services. In general, the transmitter 200 can be a website / base station, a user equipment (UE) or a mobile station, and the receiver 100 can be a UE, a mobile station or a website / base station. For example, the receiver 100 can be a mobile station, and the transmitter 200 can be the serving base station of the mobile station. For downlink transmission, the signal will be transmitted from the transmitter 200 to the receiver 100 . At the transmitter end, the transmitter 200 (for example: a base station) may at least include a storage device 210, a processing unit 220, a MIMO encoder 230, a pre...

Abstract

The invention relates to a wireless communication method and system for multiple-input multiple-output systems and a receiver. The method for reducing the quantization effect of precoding operations utilizing a finite codebook in multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) or multiple-input single-output (MISO) systems from a transmitter to a receiver is provided. First, downlink channel state information is obtained at the receiver side. A set of indices of precoding matrices or a set of precoding matrices within the finite codebook are determined according to the obtained downlink channel state information at the receiver side. The selected indices of precoding matrices and a set of scalar coefficients are transmitted from the receiver to the transmitter. Thereafter, a refined precoding matrix is generated based on the set of indices of precoding matrices and the one or more scalar coefficients at the transmitter side. The refined precoding matrix is applied for transmission between the transmitter and the receiver.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a wireless communication system and a related wireless communication method, in particular to a method for reducing multiple-input multiple-out (MIMO) or multiple-input single-out (MISO) ) wireless communication method using a finite codebook for quantization effects of precoding operations in transmission from transmitter to receiver in a system. Background technique [0002] In wireless communication applications, multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) technology involves using multiple antennas at the transmitter and receiver simultaneously to improve communication performance. MIMO technology can effectively increase data throughput and link range through higher spectral efficiency and link reliability or diversity without increasing additional bandwidth or transmission power. A commonly used function in MIMO technology is precoding. The so-called precoding is a signal processing technology for MIMO communication, w...
