Abstract

The invention provides an on-line multi-version management method and device for manuscripts in a manuscript system. The method comprises the following steps of: aiming at different versions of manuscripts, generating a corresponding latest version file, a history description file and a history file folder containing all history version files on a server, wherein the operation information corresponding to each version is recorded in the history description file; reading the corresponding history description file by accessing the server; generating a version option according to the operation information, wherein the version option and each version file are in a mapping relation; and according to the version option selected by a user and the mapping relation, searching for the corresponding history version file in the history file folder and displaying the manuscript of the corresponding version on a browser. By using the method, each version of manuscripts can be efficiently managed and the user can conveniently look up and compare different versions of manuscripts.
