Abstract

The invention discloses a method and system for managing an M2M (machine to machine) terminal. After the access authentication of accessing into a telecommunication network on terminal equipment which takes the M2M terminal as the telecommunication network is finished and the terminal equipment is accessed into the telecommunication network, the M2M terminal sends a registration request to a management platform; the management platform builds registration information and parameters relevant to safety and management for the M2M terminal; and according to the built parameters relevant to safety and management, parameters are configured to the M2M terminal. After the M2M terminal is registered on the management platform, a registration request is sent to a service platform by virtue of the management platform, and the service platform builds the registration information and the parameters relevant to service safety and management for the M2M terminal; and according to the built parameters relevant to service safety and management, the parameters are configured to the M2M terminal. According to the method and system provided by the invention, the parameters of the M2M terminal are managed and configured by the telecommunication network, and the relevant service of M2M is ensured to normally operate.
