Problems solved by technology

However, usually as Figure 1B As shown, the exhaust duct 41 is connected to only one wall portion 25 of a pair of circular wall portions 25, 25 disposed in the width direction, and thus the suction force in the forming die 21 is shifted in the width direction of the rotary drum 20

Embodiment

[0108] Figure 3A is a central vertical sectional view of the apparatus 10 for manufacturing the absorbent body 1 according to the first embodiment. Figure 3B is along Figure 3A A cross-sectional view taken along line B-B.

[0109]The apparatus 10 for manufacturing the absorbent body 1 is a so-called fiber stacking apparatus that stacks pulp fibers 2 as liquid-absorbent fibers to form the absorbent body 1 . As its main structure, the apparatus 10 for manufacturing includes: (1) a rotating drum 20 (equivalent to a forming member) which continuously rotates about a horizontal axis C20 in one of the circumferential directions Dc (for example, counterclockwise direction) (2) a supply duct 31 that discharges and supplies the air mixture 3 including the pulp fibers 2 from the supply opening 31a provided at a predetermined position in the circumferential direction Dc of the rotary drum 20 to the outer peripheral surface 20a of the rotary drum 20 (equivalent to gas).

Abstract

A device (10) for manufacturing an absorbing body (1) comprises: a forming member (20) having a predetermined surface (20a) in which a recessed forming mold (21) is formed and moving the forming mold (21) in one direction along a movement route intersecting the width direction of the predetermined surface (20a); a supply duct (31) provided at a predetermined position in the movement route and supplying gas (3) containing liquid absorptive fibers (2) toward the predetermined surface (20a) from a supply opening (31a); a negative-pressure-chamber defining member (25) provided on the opposite side of the predetermined surface (20a) from the supply opening (31a) and defining a negative pressure chamber (S) in cooperation with the predetermined surface (20a); and a gas discharge duct (41) for discharging the gas (3) in the negative pressure chamber (S) in order to reduce the pressure in the negative pressure chamber (S) to negative values. When the forming mold (21) passes the position of the supply opening (31a), the gas (3) in the supply duct (31) is caused to be sucked into the negative pressure chamber (S) from a suction hole (22) in the bottom (21a) of the forming mold (21) to layer the liquid absorptive fibers (2), which are contained in the gas (3), in the forming mold (21), thereby forming the absorbing body (1). The negative-pressure-chamber defining member (25) is provided with a pair of wall sections (25, 25) arranged on both sides of the movement route relative to the width direction. The negative pressure chamber (S) is defined between the pair of wall sections (25, 25). The gas discharge duct (41) is connected to either of the pair of wall sections (25, 25), and a gas discharge opening section (42) of the gas discharge duct (41) is provided so as to project to the inside of the negative pressure chamber (S) from the wall section (25).

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to an apparatus and method for manufacturing an absorbent body of an absorbent article such as a disposable diaper. Background technique [0002] As examples of absorbent articles that absorb liquid, disposable diapers, sanitary napkins, and the like are used. The absorbent article includes an absorbent body 1 produced by forming pulp fibers into a predetermined shape. [0003] The absorbent body 1 is formed by a fiber stacking device 10a in the production line. Figure 1A is a side view of the fiber stacking apparatus 10a partially shown in section. Figure 1B is along Figure 1A A cross-sectional view taken along line B-B. The fiber stacking device 10 a has a rotating drum 20 . The rotary drum 20 includes, as a main body, a cylindrical member that rotates in the circumferential direction Dc. Located in the width direction of the rotating drum 20 (perpendicular to Figure 1A The openings at both ends on the direction ...
