Abstract

The invention discloses a live time shift data storage method, which comprises the following steps of: 1) absolute time information and peer-to-peer (P2P) data block numbers are added into original live streams according to key frames, namely the absolute time information is added into stream data transmitted to a server by an encoder to prevent time asynchronization between the server and the encoder, wherein the step of adding the time information into the stream data also can be shifted to the server on the premise of performing time synchronization by using a time server or ensuring that the time of the server is accurate by other methods; 2) the server generates live time shift files in channels by using the live stream data into which the absolute time information and the P2P data block numbers are added; and 3) the server establishes indexes at the same time of performing live data storage, wherein the indexes of two levels are adopted, and comprise primary indexes which are file indexes and secondary indexes which are intra-file data stream indexes. By the method, file sizes are free from the limitations of time tags, and the needs of time shift unitcast, multicast and P2P transmission are satisfied at the same time.
