Virtual types

A “virtual type” that, to the reflection system, looks and acts like a fully compiled type—in reality, the “virtual type” does not exist and has been fabricated based on another API such as CodeDOM. Essentially, the “virtual type” allows code to be implemented using a single code path and therefore can remain ignorant that it is dealing with uncompiled source code. A “virtual type” is an object that looks just like a compiled type, provided that it is viewed through a reflection application program interface (API).

Real time clinical decision support system having linked references

A clinical decision support system for patient treatment having a monitoring device operably coupled to a patient. The monitoring device outputs a monitoring signal in response to a measured parameter of the patient. A controller receives the monitoring signal and outputs a display signal. The controller further compiles clinical documentation relating to the patient based on the monitoring signal and outputs a documentation signal related thereto. A display device then receives the display signal and the documentation signal and displays the same in connection with various indicia thereby displaying both the monitored signal and associated clinical documentation.

Deliverying customer specified receipt types at checkout

The present invention extends to methods, systems, and computer program products for delivering customer specified receipt types at checkout. A customer specifies receipt delivery preferences at a mobile device (e.g., specifying delivery of a digital receipt and / or a paper receipt at checkout). The mobile device sends the customer's receipt delivery preferences to a receipt preferences database server for storage in a receipt preferences database. During a sales transaction, a point-of-sale (“POS”) system refers to the receipt preferences database (or a relevant portion thereof) to access the customer's receipt delivery preferences. Based on the customer's receipt delivery preferences, the point-of-sale (“POS”) system delivers appropriate types of receipts (e.g. digital and / or paper) to the customer.

Adaptive Envelope Tracking for Biasing Radio Frequency Power Amplifiers

An RF PA is designed to operate efficiently for average powers when biased at the system supply voltage, and uses an envelope tracking power supply to boost the bias voltage to maintain good efficiency at higher powers. As a result, for a majority of the time when transmitting average power signals, the RF PA bias voltage is the system-wide supply voltage (e.g. 3.4V in cell phones), which eliminates the need for stepping down voltages. The bias voltage is boosted during the less frequent times when higher power is needed. As a result, only a boost type of DC voltage converter is needed. The efficiency of the RF PA is therefore increased because voltage conversion is required less frequently and only when higher power RF signals are transmitted.

Transaction system for charitable fund raising, with tax benefit

A system for using financial transactions to raise funds for charitable purposes. A party who uses the system for carrying out financial transactions agrees to pay fee-like contributions for use of the system, such that a portion (up to 100%) of a contribution will be allocated to a charitable entity on behalf of the user. A business entity that facilitates the financial transactions records the details of the transactions and then reports to each user the charitable contribution the user has made through the system. This allows the users to obtain tax benefits on their respective contributions.

Color vision characteristic detection apparatus

A color vision characteristic detection apparatus has a storage section, a generation section, and a presenting section. The storage section stores a basic color chart containing portions colored in colors different from each other. The generation section performs a predetermined conversion processing with respect to the basic color chart to generate an adjusted color chart for one color vision characteristic type so that it is difficult for a person who has a visual characteristic of the one color vision characteristic type to distinguish the adjusted color chart from the basic color chart. The presenting section presents the basic color chart and the adjusted color chart to a user.
