Problems solved by technology

figure 1 The resources of the RP in the network are sufficient, but because only static parameters are used, the multicast groups 225.1.1.1 and 225.1.1.2 can only be mapped to router 102, and router 103, which has a low resource utilization rate, cannot be used. The RP resource utilization rate in the network is low, resulting in a waste of network resources

Embodiment Construction

[0031] In order to make the object, technical solution and advantages of the present invention clearer, the solutions of the present invention will be further described in detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings and examples.

[0032] see figure 2 , figure 2 It is a flow chart of realizing the load sharing of the rendezvous point of the multicast group in the embodiment of the present invention. The specific steps are:

[0033] Step 201, when the routing device as the RP detects that the local resource usage rate is higher than the first preset threshold, it sends an announcement message to notify the bootstrap routing device BSR that it needs to perform load sharing and the multicast groups that need load sharing, The multicast groups requiring load sharing are determined according to a preset forwarding policy.

[0034] Step 202, when the routing device serving as the BSR receives the announcement message, it records that the routing device serving as t...

Abstract

The invention discloses a method for implementing rendezvous point (RP) load sharing of a multicast group. The method comprises the following steps of: when the utilization rate of a local resource is higher than a first preset threshold value is detected, sending advertisement message to inform a BSR of load sharing and the multicast group in need of load sharing by routing equipment serving as an RP, wherein the multicast group in need of load sharing is determined according to a preset forwarding strategy; when bootstrap message of a candidate RP sent by the BSR to inform that the candidate RP is not used for calculating the RP of the multicast group is received, recording the load sharing BSR and the load sharing multicast group; and when the advertisement message is received, recording the candidate RP of the routing equipment rather than the RP of the multicast group by the routing equipment serving as the BSR, and informing all routing equipment in a sparse independent multicast protocol (PIM-SM) domain through the bootstrap message. The invention also provides the routing equipment for implementing RP load sharing and making full use of network resources.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the field of communication technology, in particular to a method and routing equipment for realizing load sharing of a rendezvous point. Background technique [0002] Sparse Independent Multicast Protocol (PIM-SM) uses the PULL mode to transmit multicast data, and is used in large and medium-sized networks with relatively scattered multicast group members and a wide range. If not all hosts need to receive multicast data, the PIM-SM will only forward it to the hosts that explicitly request to receive multicast data. The core task of PIM-SM to implement multicast forwarding is to construct and maintain a rendezvous tree (RPT). The RPT selects a certain router in the PIM domain as the common root node rendezvous point (RP). Multicast data is forwarded to receiver. [0003] RP is the core device in the PIM-SM domain. In a small network with a simple structure, the amount of multicast information is small, and the entire network ...
