A video processing device which, without using a special video display apparatus and special glasses, can improve the perceived depth of video through image processing only. The video processing device (1) enhances the perceived depth of video acquired by a video acquisition unit (11) and is provided with: a depth information acquisition unit (12) which acquires depth information showing the distances in the depth direction of a plurality of video portions which are components of the video; a video dividing unit (13) which, based on the depth information acquired at the depth information acquisition unit (12) and based on the video, divides the video into a plurality of video portions having differing distances in the depth direction; and a video combining unit (16) which combines the video portions and a depth-enhancing image, so that a depth-enhancing video for enhancing the depth of the video is superposed over one of the video portions gained from division at the video dividing unit (13), and further so that the other video portion having a distance in the depth direction shorter than that one video portion is superposed over the depth-enhancing image.
