Abstract

The invention relates to a cable coiling device (1) provided with a cable drum (2) which is rotatable about a rotating axis (D1) and capable of accommodating a cable drum (2) for winding a cable (3), and a guide element (4) for guiding the cable (3) during a cable winding operation, wherein the guide element (4) is a guide roller (6) which has an axis (D2) parallel to the rotating axis (D1) of the cable drum and a width (B2) which substantially equals to the width (B1) of the cable drum (2). The guide roller (6) has a guide structure (8) for the cable and is driven by a rotational movement of the cable drum (2) such that the cable swings on the drum in the region of a cable inlet (9) due to the guide structure (8) along the width (B2) of the guide roller.
