A stator coil is formed of electric wires mounted on the stator core. Each of the electric wires has radially-outer in-slot portions, radially-inner in-slot portions and radially-intermediate in-slot portions, which are respectively received in slots of the radially outer portion, slots of the radially inner portion and slots of the connecting portion of the stator core.
