Abstract

The invention provides a coordinated multipoint method and an apparatus thereof. The method comprises the following steps: negotiating and determining coordinated resources participated by a coordinated cell set; determining a parameter of a virtual cell and a pilot frequency mode according to the coordinated resources; establishing the virtual cell; determining participated coordinated user by using a service cell and concentratedly scheduling the coordinated user in the virtual cell. In the invention, a design and execution complexity of the coordinated set can be simplified. For a mobile station, space resource quantification can be performed according to a virtual cell space. The virtual cell concentratedly schedules the resources of the coordinated cell set. An updated design can be used in the virtual cell to satisfy a demand of a future IMT-A.
