Embodiment Construction

[0053] according to figure 1 and figure 2 , the invention relates to a spectacle frame, only partly shown at the hinges of the temples and the tenons of the head mounts.

[0054] The following description refers only to one of the temples and its tenons, and by virtue of the symmetry, the description also applies to the other temple. Accordingly, the terms "temple", "tenon" and "hinge" do not distinguish between singular or plural.

[0055] The head 10 of the spectacle frame is simply sketched. On each side, the head 10 comprises a tenon and only the left tenon 20 is shown; the left tenon 20 carries the temple 30 via a hinge 40 . The temple 30 is simply sketched at its hinge.

[0056] In the vicinity of the hinge, the tenon 20 consists of a flat piece 21 equipped with two hinge claws 22 folded at right angles to the plane of the tenon. Each of the two jaws 22 is passed through by calibrated perforations 23 . The two perforations 23 are aligned (XX axis) for receiving th...

Abstract

The frame has a face (10) provided with a tenon (20) terminated by two tabs (22) bent at right angle. A leg (30) includes two tabs (32) bent at right angle to come against the tabs of the tenon, where each tab of the leg is provided with a bore (33) to receive a hinge pin (41) whose ends (411, 412a) meet the tabs of the leg and the tenon. A wedge (42) is installed between the hinge pin and inside of the tenon to support the hinge pin between the tabs of the leg and the tenon, where the wedge is retained by the hinge pin.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a spectacle frame comprising a head provided with tenons, each of which bears arms connected by a hinge. Background technique [0002] There are many types of spectacle frames and hinges that engage the two temples with the tenons of the head fittings of the spectacle frame. These hinges are generally assembled using screws that are difficult to get in place and present a risk of being unscrewed and lost. [0003] Some spectacle frames include very sophisticated hinges that allow the temples to be in an over-open position, i.e. open beyond the normal open position of two temples, the return to the normal position being by a system with springs and pistons. [0004] These hinges are complicated and if they can be repaired by an optician, usually the optician does not assemble the temples with the tenons of the frame. [0005] Adapting spectacle frames to the wearer's appearance or aesthetic choices of the wearer is difficult t...
