The invention discloses a system for achieving data storage, backup and restore, which comprises that a data storage, backup and restore device divides data stored by users at a client side into a plurality of logic storage layers, and a mapping structure with storage locations of a physical hard disk in storage equipment is recorded on each storage layer; simultaneously data storage indexes corresponding to each storage layer are provided for the users; and the storage equipment stores user data at the client side according to the storage locations of the physical hard disk recorded by the data storage, backup and restore device and the mapping structure on each logic storage layer. The system greatly improves management standards and safety degree of the data and fully uses discs in different prices according to the characteristics of the stored data, thereby reducing cost of the storage equipment and management, simultaneously simplifying storage management and promoting performance of a storage system.
