[0013] The present invention relates generally to communications, and more particularly to systems and methods for bi-phase modulation decoding. The biphase modulation decoder may include at least one filter associated with a logic low state, at least one filter associated with a logic high state, and a comparator. As an example, the filter may be a finite impulse response (FIR) filter. A bi-phase modulated signal having a plurality of digital samples may be provided to each filter associated with each logic low and logic high state. The filter can be programmed with multiple taps with tap weights having value ranges that are normalized with respect to each other. As examples, these values may be integer or floating point values. The filters thus each generate a statistical value such as a dot product with respect to a plurality of taps of digital samples of the biphase modulated signal.
