A line positioning mechanism is fit constituted of a line positioning pin and a limit channel steel, wherein the line positioning pin is arranged on the power battery and the limit channel steel is arranged on the car body; and positioning is carried out to the power battery simultaneously by the above two different positioning mechanisms to solve influence of undetermined factors of car body posture to automatic replacement of the power battery. With the two different positioning modes of the point positioning mechanism and the line positioning mechanism, effects of some factors are overcome. The factors comprise different car types, different aeration quantity of tyres of the electric power car, unevenness of ground and the like. The effects can cause different car body postures and bring trouble to the automatic replacement of the power battery. Accurate positioning of the power battery is realized, wherein the power battery is placed at a position where the power battery should be placed on the electric car. According to the invention, a guiding angle can be automatically adjusted. The method and the apparatus have the advantages of simple structure, reliable guidance and high positioning accuracy.
