The invention discloses a pressure retention valve used in a hydraulic system of an engineering institution torque converter. The pressure retention valve has the following advantages: the outlet pressure of the torque converter is kept; resistance on the hydraulic system is not generated when the outlet is fully opened; the structure is simple; and the performance is reliable and stable.
