Abstract

The invention discloses a multi-window playing method and system, which are capable of meeting the demand of diversification of multimedia information broadcasting. According to the technical scheme, the multi-window playing method comprises the following steps of producing a program template at background, wherein the program template is designed as playing multiple playing sub-windows at a terminal device; putting the produced program template to the terminal device; reading and analyzing the program template by the terminal device; obtaining areas of different playing sub-windows and film source information of the program from an analyzing template by the terminal device; calculating a terminal display area corresponding to the area of each playing sub-window in the template; and playing the program corresponding to the analyzed film source information on the calculated terminal display area.
