Abstract

Disclosed is a docking station 600 that can mount an electronic device, such as a tablet computer. The docking station having a body 640 with a recessed region 614 in its upper surface and an aperture 616 formed through the body from the recessed region towards the bottom of the body. The aperture is sized to receive a cable assembly that connects the electronic device to the docking station. The recess may be shaped and sized to fit the electronic device such that the top of the device is flush with the edges of the recess. The docking station may be sloped upwards form the front to the back. The docking station may have addition recesses 620 to receive stands for additional devices, the recesses having notches that engage coupling portions of the stand. The docking station may be part of a digital signage system comprising the docking station and the electronic device.
