Abstract

The present invention provides a method and user equipment for reporting and processing related events through related information. The user equipment detects a failure event in the first cell served by the first base station and is configured with a previous cell radio network temporary identifier, and then performs a radio resource control establishment process through the second base station and is assigned a new cell radio network temporary identifier. After the establishment of radio resource control is completed, the user equipment sends the failure event report and related information to the second base station. The second base station then sends the failure event report and the previous cell radio network temporary identifier to the first base station. The first base station may correlate failure event reports with previous failure events based on previous cell radio network temporary identifiers to avoid double bookkeeping and improve operational robustness optimization decisions of the ad hoc network.
