The method comprises the following steps of: receiving a picture visit request sent by the computing terminal, wherein the picture visit request comprises picture information to be visited and the terminal type information of the computing terminal; determining the compression ratio of a picture according to the terminal type information of the computing terminal; acquiring the picture data corresponding to the picture information in the picture visit request, and carrying out compression processing on the picture data according to the determined compression ratio; and sending the picture data processed by compression to the computing terminal.
