The invention discloses a searching method and a searching device based on favorites. The method comprises the following steps: acquiring the website information of browser favorites of multiple pieces of user equipment and storing the website information into a database, wherein the website information comprises a website snapshot of each website; receiving a search request and returning the searching result according to the search request; judging whether the website for accessing a certain search result is a failure website or not; and if the website of the certain searching result is the failure website, searching the matched website snapshot from the database by using a server and returning to a browser. By the searching method and the searching device based on the favorites, a user can normally browse the content of the website when the user fails to click the searching result.
