Problems solved by technology

[0010] The device described in Patent Document 1 does not take into account the elimination of fluctuations in detection sensitivity due to thermal deformation of the housing on which the reference roller, detection roller, and displacement detection sensor are mounted.
[0011] In addition, the device described in Patent Document 2 is an effective mechanism for reducing the gap between the bearing of the fixed roller and the housing caused by temperature changes, but does not consider the thermal deformation of the housing in the axial direction.
[0012] In addition, the device described in Patent Document 3 is a method of performing offset correction, gain correction, and eccentricity correction, but does not take into account the elimination of fluctuations in detection sensitivity due to temperature changes.

Abstract

The invention provides a paper sheet thickness detection device which can be disposed on an automatic note processing device and accurately detect altered notes bound with tapes. The paper sheet thickness detection device comprises a housing supporting detection rollers and reference rollers in a rotary manner, and a plurality of displacement detection sensors disposed on the upper surface, which is opposite to the detection rollers, of the housing and used for detecting displacements of the detection rollers. The paper sheet thickness detection device is used for detecting the thicknesses of paper sheets conveyed through contact parts between the reference rollers and the detection rollers. Inner rings of ball bearings are fixed to the both ends of a rotating shaft of the reference rollers and a rotating shaft of the detection rollers; outer rings of the ball bearings fixed to the ends of one of the rotating shafts of the reference rollers and the detection rollers are fixed to installation holes of the housing; and the outer rings of the ball bearings installed on the ends of the other rotating shaft of the reference rollers and the detections rollers are inserted in the installation holes of the housing.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a paper sheet thickness detection device and a banknote processing device. Background technique [0002] The automatic teller machine is generally installed in a banknote handling device, an automatic vending machine, and the like. Since it is necessary to discriminate whether or not the banknotes to be handled have been tampered with by tape, paper, etc., it is important to have a banknote judging device in the banknote handling apparatus, automatic vending machine, and the like. [0003] A conventional banknote determination device for discriminating banknotes or the like altered with adhesive tape, paper, or the like is described in Japanese Unexamined Patent Application Publication No. 6-49442 (Patent Document 1). [0004] The paper sheet thickness detection device described in this patent document 1 has a reference roller driven to rotate and a detection roller driven to rotate. between the circle and the axis of...
