Embodiment Construction

[0034] Embodiments of the present disclosure are described below.

[0035] figure 1 is a plan view of a vehicle 1 having an ultrasonic sensor device 3 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. The vehicle 1 has an obstacle detector 100 (clearance sonar device) including ultrasonic sensor devices 3 (3a, 3b) attached to the left and right corners in the front bumper 2 and attached to the rear bumper. Ultrasonic sensor devices 3 (3c, 3d, 3e, 3f) in the left and right corners and in the middle of 4. Each ultrasonic sensor device 3 emits ultrasonic waves outward from the vehicle 1 under predetermined conditions. The emitted ultrasonic waves reach the obstacle 5 and are reflected as reflected ultrasonic waves. Upon receiving the reflected ultrasonic waves, the ultrasonic sensor device 3 detects the distance from the vehicle 1 to the obstacle 5, notifies the driver of the vehicle 1 of the detected distance via a sound based on the detected distance.

Abstract

A vehicular ultrasonic sensor apparatus (3) serving as a distance sensor apparatus is equipped with a sensor unit (42), a case body (46), a bezel (43), and a retainer (44). The retainer includes a pair of pawl members (57). The pair of pawl members is equipped with a stopper portion (62). The ultrasonic sensor apparatus is inserted into an attachment hole (54) of the bumper (2,4) such that a connector portion of the case body is first inserted. When the retainer passes through the attachment hole, the pair of pawl members are elastically deformed. After passing through the attachment hole, the pair of pawl members are elastically restored, and the stopper portion is caught at an inner circumference edge (54b) of an exit side of the attachment hole.

Description

technical field [0001] The present disclosure relates to a distance sensor device for a vehicle that can be used in a vehicle-mounted obstacle detector. Background technique [0002] [Patent Document 1] JP 2000-513296A (US 6227501B1) [0003] As an example of the distance sensor device, an ultrasonic sensor device that measures a distance from a vehicle to an obstacle using ultrasonic waves will be described. Recent vehicles may be equipped with a clearance sonar, which is an obstacle detector used to assist driving maneuvers such as when parking. The clearance sonar device includes a predetermined number of ultrasonic sensor devices, for example, two of which are arranged in the front bumper and four of which are arranged in the rear bumper. The clearance sonar device detects the duration until the ultrasonic waves emitted from the ultrasonic sensor reach the obstacle and return, thereby measuring the distance from the vehicle to the obstacle. When the distance becomes s...
