Abstract

The invention discloses a method for previewing and playing of mobile television (TV) programs and a corresponding system. The previewing method applies to a mobile terminal, and includes that multi-media data of each channel are buffered according to channel information carried in an electric service guide after the electric service guide is received; and after a program previewing request issued by a user is received, the multi-media data, buffered to be local, of each channel are processed, and then I frame data in the processed multi-media data of each channel are played in sequence. A background service startup method is adopted to reduce the time for closing a former channel and starting a later channel when channel programs are previewed. Meanwhile, data can be received very quickly, data waiting time is also reduced, and further, due to the fact that only the I frame data are played and displayed when the channel programs are previewed, the previewing time for the channel programs is greatly reduced. Therefore, the performance of a whole mobile TV is improved, and very good experience is provided for users.
