Abstract

The invention discloses a method for rapidly evaluating the quality of ginseng. According to the method disclosed by the invention, an intelligent aroma sensitive system is used for detecting the aroma of ginseng with different grades to obtain a sensor response signal; after the sensor is primarily optimized according to a step-by-step distinguishing method, three different characteristic value extraction methods are compared to obtain effective characteristic values of the optimized sensor and the effective characteristic values are taken as modeling data; a GC-MS (Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometer) is used for analyzing a change rule of aroma compounds to determine the content of sesquiterpenoids compounds and the content of aromatic compounds, and then a partial least squares (PLS) regression model between the content of the sesquiterpenoids compounds and the aromatic compounds and the optimized sensor is established so as to realize the evaluation on the quality of unknown ginseng. According to the method disclosed by the invention, the reasonable optimization of a gas sensor array is realized by virtue of a gas sensor array and gas chromatography coupling technique, a predication model for predicating the content of the sesquiterpenoids compounds and the content of the aromatic compounds is established, and further, the predication on the quality of ginseng is realized. The novel method provided by the invention is used for identifying the quality of ginseng in medicinal material markets.
