The automatic control method comprises the following steps of (1) setting an intelligent monitoring main station; (2) setting a data analysis station and a database server; (3) setting a mechanical pretreatment substation, a biochemical treatment substation, a sludge concentration substation and a sludge dehydration substation which are connected with the data analysis station respectively; and (4) when the workstations are in a working condition, making each substation transmit respective acquired data information to the data analysis station respectively, matching and analyzing the received data information and parameter data information preset in the database server and transmitting the obtained analysis result to the intelligent monitoring main station by using the data analysis station, transmitting a corresponding adjusting command to each substation according to an analysis result by using the intelligent monitoring main station, and adjusting and acquiring once again by using each substation to realize real-time, circular and optimal control of each substation by the intelligent control main station.
