Embodiment 1

[0051] The embodiment of the present invention provides a HINOC bandwidth allocation method, which is applicable to the HINOC in which the HB allocates bandwidth for multiple HMs, and multiple HMs are directly connected to the HB, see figure 1 , the method includes:

[0052] Step 101: Determine the total downlink bandwidth in a PD (Probe Down, downlink detection) period, and the total downlink bandwidth is used to transmit downlink data.

[0053] The PD period refers to the time interval between the start of the current PD frame and the start of the next PD frame. One PD cycle may be about 64MS. A PD cycle includes multiple MAP cycles and a PD frame, and a PD cycle may also include a PU (Probe Up, uplink detection) frame (if the HB needs the HM to upload the PU frame or the HM proposes to upload the PU frame). When the PD cycle includes PU frames, the PD cycle is divided into two equal time lengths on average. The first time length starts with a PD frame, and the rest is a p...

Embodiment 2

[0081] An embodiment of the present invention provides a HINOC bandwidth allocation device, which can be HB in HINOC, see figure 2 , the device includes: a first determining module 201 , a second determining module 202 , a setting module 203 and an allocating module 204 .

[0082] The first determining module 201 is configured to determine the total downlink bandwidth in the PD cycle, where the total downlink bandwidth is used to transmit downlink data;

[0083] The second determination module 202 is configured to determine the total downlink bandwidth of each HM in the PD cycle according to the bandwidth ratio of each HM;

[0084] Setting module 203 is used to set the total token bucket, and the token corresponding to the total downlink bandwidth in the PD cycle is provided in the total token bucket; the token bucket of each HM is set, and the token bucket of the HM is provided with the token corresponding to the HM The token corresponding to the total downlink bandwidth of...

Abstract

The invention discloses high performance network over coax (HINOC) bandwidth allocation method and apparatus, and belongs to the information transmission field. The method comprises: determining downlink total bandwidths in a probe down period; according to bandwidth ratios of all modems, determining the downlink total bandwidths of the modems in the probe down period; setting total token buckets, in which tokens corresponding to the downlink total bandwidths in the probe down periods are arranged; setting token buckets of the modems, wherein the token buckets of the modems are provided with tokens corresponding to the downlink total bandwidths of the modems; and circulating based on the predetermined sequence, based on downlink data to be transmitted of each modem and transmission speed of each modem, allocating the downlink bandwidth for each modem and reducing the total token buckets and the tokens in the token buckets of the modems based on the downlink bandwidth. The technical scheme provided in the invention helps to reduce transmission delay of the downlink data, and the network performance is improved.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the field of information transmission, in particular to a high-performance coaxial network bandwidth allocation method and device. Background technique [0002] HINOC (HIgh performance Network Over Coax, high-performance coaxial network), also known as coaxial cable broadband access technology, is a broadband access solution that uses coaxial cables to achieve high-performance bidirectional information transmission. The HINOC network is composed of HB (HINOC Bridge, HINOC bridge) and HM (HINOC Modem, HINOC modem), which is a star topology network structure. The HINOC1.0 standard stipulates that the bandwidth of a single channel of the HINOC network is 16MHZ, and when the entire HINOC network is operating at full capacity, a single channel supports 32 HMs to work simultaneously. Therefore, how to allocate bandwidth reasonably has become an important content to improve network performance. [0003] In the prior art, the HINOC n...
