The high voltage ride through testing device comprises a current limiting reactor set, a parallel capacitor set C1, controllable circuit breakers CB1 and CB3 and a thyristor T1, wherein the current limiting reactor set comprises an electric reactor and a controllable circuit breaker, the parallel capacitor set C1 comprises a plurality of capacitors and capacitor switches connected with the capacitors, when the capacitor switches are connected, the capacitors in parallel connection with the capacitor switches are connected into a circuit and started, the controllable circuit breaker CB1 is connected to a transformer 10, the controllable circuit breaker CB3 is connected to the wind generating set, input of the parallel capacitor set C1 is changed by controlling connection and disconnection of the thyristor T1, so that voltage of a test point A is changed, and a test of high voltage ride through of the tested wind generating set is achieved.
